Behind The Design
For over 19 years our footwear has been designed by women, for women. A sentiment intrinsic to our collections.
Designed in Auckland, New Zealand
From custom-dyed leather to tirelessly perfected lasts and unexpected details, our designers endeavour to elevate and differentiate our range constantly, cementing our position as the home of premium footwear design.
Our Team
Proud to be a female-driven venture, we believe our people are the foundation of Mi Piaci. Progressive, innovative and intelligent. We acknowledge the creatively talented people surrounding us as our undeniable source of inspiration. From our designers, buyers and the makers in our factory, right down to our photographers, marketers and everyone in between. Each person plays an essential part, pouring their dedication and creativity into every detail that comprises Mi Piaci.
Our Process
Everything we do is with purpose. With a hands-on approach, more than 20 makers touch every Mi Piaci shoe before they get to you. Carefully considered, we create products that are beautifully refined, and distinctly ‘Mi Piaci’.
Design Cycle
The design cycle begins right here in Auckland, we look at any key colours, leathers or trims we need to select when we visit the materials markets in China or work on with our Italian leather suppliers. We then sketch hundreds of designs that we continue to evolve. It’s a very collaborative process and from there we make a team decision on what styles to move ahead to development.
