Mi Piaci arose from a shared desire to empower women and embrace the freedom of expression. Proudly local with our team of New Zealand designers, for over 18 years we are still doing what we love - creating footwear for women, by women.
In a celebration of New Zealand design, we are spotlighting some of our most iconic creations that you adore the most from seasons past. The Icons Collection: Ellen, Spencer, Seattle & Simara. This weekend we celebrate their coveted designs; taking you through our archives for a retrospective on how these icons have evolved over the years.

"Seattle is inspired by Mi Piaci women, who live multidimensional lives and need a product that is going to blend seamlessly into each aspect in functionality and fashion. We consider the smallest of things which may not be instantly recognisable but help to elevate a design above and beyond. Seattle showcases this through our love of simplistic designs elevated through small and consistent design aspects."

"Ellen is a Mi Piaci classic and has been in our collection for 5 years. With a unique chunky outsole and minimalist upper, Ellen speaks to the utilitarian streak in our New Zealand DNA. Hardwearing and no-frills, Ellen is uniquely identifiable as a Mi Piaci style, without need for embellishment or artifice."

With a great last shape and classic horse-bit trim, Spencer can be dressed up for workwear or paired with jeans and a white T-shirt. Spencer has been a great vehicle for seasonal colour over the last few years, whether croc print leather, hot pink metallic, or luxurious suede, our customers love the ability to update their seasonal palette in this versatile style."

"Our Simara style was designed in response to the popularity of mules and the love of our signature electroplated heel. Pitched at a mid-height 7.5 cm heel, Simara is the perfect height to wear day-to-night, and the in-house designed, electroplated heel, elevates a simple classic style to a Mi Piaci icon."
