Not only is this event one of the most prestigious race days for racing purists, it’s also complemented by a bright, colourful party on the trackside. This year, a touch of Malibu will grace the sidelines with an abundance of colour, style and entertainment.
Dress code: Smart casual attire is called for in the grandstands, while the Member’s Reserve requires a higher standard of dress in keeping with the distinction of this area.
The Cox Plate is also known as The Race Where Legends Are Made, encompassing Australia’s best horse race on a stage built for landmark occasions. The place to be seen is the Valley Precinct, where racing and entertainment collide for a celebration that lasts well into the night.
Dress code: While the Moonee Valley Race Course is a progressive racing club which has adapted its dress code to suit current fashion trends, a high standard of dress should still be maintained.
Derby Day is considered one of the most prestigious days of the spring racing season, kicking off a week of Melbourne Cup festivities. Monochromatic fashion, world-class racing and celebrations make Derby Day an absolute must-attend on the spring racing calendar.
Dress code: Traditionally black and white.
A day of such sporting and cultural significance, it stops an entire country! Grandstands filled to the brim, complete silence as the audience anticipates what the race will bring, and of course – fashion and entertainment that is second-to-none, makes for the biggest event on the Spring Racing calendar. Nothing matches the scale and splendor of this iconic, must-do event.
